What kind of joy you have on this Christmas Day?

You may be on the Christmas grip of celebration. What you consider it as usual birthday or God sent his son to World save people from sinful life? His coming changed the world and can change our lives. He changed the world that the word you can remember today "Savior" and you can have it in your hear today.

I am presents here three incidents which reveal the human nature of life and how would react on special occasions. Our earthly living need a Savior and helper. Christ our incubator on the earthly life, a supporter for clean and holy living.

The first story is about on a Cricket fan's joy of receiving an unexpected gift of one lakh dollar by a soft drink company. While he was watching a match in the stadium, the ball hit by the batsman raced close his seat and he caught it single handed. Surprisingly that day there was an announcement if a person caught a ball single handed and wear yellow colour shirt he would get one lakh dollar. Coincidentally he wear some colour shirt and the company announced of  giving one lakh dollar to him. On hear this cricket fan joy was new no bounds. He was in seventh heaven. He exclaimed that he would go home and settle of my immediate debts which has been pressing him long. His joy lasted for few days .He was satisfied and settled with that material benefit of the world. Nothing else was his joy.

The other story is about a little girls whose father was about to leave for foreign tour.Before leaving home, he called his little daughter and asked her what she would like him to buy for her when return home. She said daddy buy a doll for me. He left for tour and the little girl anxiously waiting to see the doll her father has bought for her. Unfortunately the gift pocket he brought for his daughter was misplaced and could not located in the airport. He came home empty hand and revealed the story to his daughter and tears welled up here eyes and said, Daddy I don't want anything, you only enough for me. The father deeply moved her words and give a affectionate kiss. That was a pleasantry moments of their life.

Third is  about the story of 33 miners trapped under a half mile of rock for more than two months in a coal mine, Sanjose, Chile in 2010. They all lost hope of survival and ultimately discovered by the drillers after 17 days of search. That paved the way for the end of the ordeal, which transfixed the globe with a universal story of human struggle and the enormous complex operation to rescue them. They were trapped in a light-less dank space underneath the earth for months.

When they were brought out one by one, miners family and the world rejoiced and praised their perseverance and courage.One miner said, I have been near God, but also I have also been near the devil. But the Lord's mercy surrounded us.

Think for a moment. If they were not searched and not found. What would be the situation?What were the miners joy when the drillers found, where family members were buried themselves in worry not seeing them alive.

Christ is the driller of our life, who is the light of life. Trust Him day. Renew yourself with realization of  transforming power of  Savior. Merry Christmas!

                    AN EXPECTATION

               (A Christmas Message 2015)

             With great enthusiasm and expectation we are celebrating Christmas. What is expectation? It is an expectation of God's hope on our lives.

               What is your expectation or ambition  of life as you celebrate Christmas? In other words, what transformation you expect to receive? Your inspiration a "Joy"  transformation from old to new.

                 Before invention of Airplane, Wright brothers had disappointment and failures. They went away from home for several days to get their first success in flying. Their families worried on their absence in the home. Finally the Brothers able to fly certain distance and in Joy sent a message that they would be returning home soon on Christmas. It was their joy that turned latter years World air aviation.

                    When Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon he had great joy. Armstrong slowly backed down ladders of the Eagle landing craft and he carefully prepared a message for the mission back to earth that could heard on the television around the world.

                      He made a error while delivering the message. Latter years while talked about the First moon landing, the error only came to the picture rather than moon landing. It lost its importance.

                        The message was this : That, "one small step for a man a great leap for mankind".

                        He should have read as "one small step for man, a giant leap for mankind"

                        When Armstrong was confronted upon the message, he accepted that he made a mistake.

                         Sin, an error in our lives. God want to release humanity from the bondage of sin. Therefore he sent Jesus Christ.

                          An expectation from God is being newness in our heart receiving Jesus Christ as our Savior that is "Christmas."
   
                           Experience of joy come believing that Jesus redeem us from our sins and accept our hopeless and emptiness of life. Receiving Christ by faith receiving Salvation a New Life.                                        
       
                           You may be celebrating  Christmas outwardly by decoration and other activities, but God wants changes take place inwardly.

                          An expectation is an anxiety to receive something special that change our whole life style.

                          As child expect from father for his need, we too expect as "child of God" humble ourselves and receive his grace in our heart. That is Christmas, an expectation.

                        Are you experience that joy in your heart or perhaps you still in heart in doubt as "Thomas doubted Jesus? 

                        Thomas said, "unless I see him in person and put my finger in his wound I won't trust him."
  
                         Today, many of us have same doubts as Thomas. Canada's United Church Moderator Rt Rev Philip had the same doubt.

                         Bible says: "Let him ask in faith with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind."
              
                          Trust Him and experience the Salvation through Him. Commitment come by confession that is newness in heart receiving an expected gift the Joy of Christmas.

                           Simone saw the Child in the manger and said "My eyes have seen Thy Salvation".

                            As you finish read this message, have you experienced the Joy of Christmas?

                        CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

What is Christmas ?

                          When Christmas season comes our activities involves on sending Christmas greetings to friends, buying new cloths, Singing Christmas Carols and decorating house with Christmas celebration symbols and giving gifts etc. We think of wordly things and forget about what spiritual values we gets.

                             It was like a story of a man sent invitation to his friends and relatives celebrating his child birthday in a big hotel. Plenty of people gathered in the hotel with pomp and pleasure. When the time come for cut the cake, people informed the parents of the child to bring the child for the celebration. Parents replied that we left the child at home. If we bring it here that would be a trouble in celebrating the birthday. Here we see they failed to experience the real joy of new life on earth they got and the transformation in their life. Similarly our humility on the Christmas fail to enlighten the spiritual value.

                               In the Bible, we read in Roman 3:23 For all we have sinned and fall short of Glory."

                                  In the Bible is the story of Naaman, Commander of the Syrian Army.But he was afflicted with  with leper. He was a brilliant soldier, a man of great courage and conquering hero but the leprosy of sin haunted his life. Those times leprosy was an incurable disease with a stigma. Naaman is a picture of all  of us .Naaman a powerful hero honor came wealth and material. Naaman does not realize  Leprosy was a sin. Many of us today cannot feel the impact of sin. Naaman find no way escape or get rid off his leper from the body. His proud in life forget the simple things of the life. That was an important for the eternal life. He came to know about this through a slave girl of in his home. She said to his Master's wife, If only my Master would see the Prophet who is in Samaria, he would cure his Leprosy. This girl was offering Naaman a hope. When he heard  this he was upset because advice from a slave girl. Similarly God offers free gift of Salvation. Are we ready on this Christmas?

                                    Naaman obliged to the Servant girl advise because he want to get relief rom the sin. He went to see the King of Judia with a letter to cure his leprosy. Naaman thought Leprosy can be cured on his way of action.

                                       King saw his letter and said I am not a healer and advised him to go to Prophet Elisha to get redemption from the sin of leprosy. He went to Eliza's house. But Eliza sent his servant to tell Naaman to go and dip seven times in the Jordan River to be healed.

                                          Naaman became angry his proud was hurt. The prophet would not even came out to see him. Instead the prophet had just sent word to him to wash in Jordan River. Similarly we never touch on the basic of Christmas while celebrating, we miss the theme.

                                            Naaman was not humble enough to receive God's grace. He was ready but he did not know receive it. He was not in God's way to revive His redeeming power. There is only one way, you must repent of your sin and turn to Christ.

                                             First Naaman angry, but sin haunted his life. He humbled  by agreeing go to Jordan river and dip seven times. Salvation doesn't come from a preacher or a teacher. It come from only one source Jesus Christ.

                                                Naaman went to the river Jordan and finally become convinced that he ought to do what the prophet said. He went down one time, two times, three times, four times, five times. And imagine that he looked at his body and the leprosy that was still there. Finally he went down the seventh time. And when he rose, his skin was like that of a little Child.

                                                 In Luke2:30 Simeon took the Child in his arm and said for my eyes have seen the Salvation" Salvation, forgiveness of sin. Salvation an experience of Joy. Let's experience that joy on this Christmas day!
